Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Back in Grade 10, I was the kid carrying a film camera everywhere and spending hours in the darkroom developing prints. What began as a creative outlet eventually became something much more—a way of preserving the people, relationships, and moments that matter most.
When my oldest son was born in 2012, photography took on an entirely different meaning. I suddenly understood just how quickly life changes. The tiny details, the everyday routines, the people we love, and even the ordinary moments quietly become memories before we realize it. Since then, I've approached every session and every wedding with the same goal: documenting not just how your day looked, but how it truly felt.
Whether I'm photographing your wedding day, welcoming a new baby, documenting your growing family, or celebrating a season that's meaningful to you, I want the experience to feel relaxed and genuine. If you're worried about feeling awkward in front of the camera, you're in good company—I feel the same way. My job isn't to make you pose for hours. It's to help you feel comfortable enough to laugh, connect, and simply enjoy being together while I document everything as it naturally unfolds.
Some of my favourite moments are the ones no one plans for. The laughter during speeches, the happy tears during a first look, the way a toddler reaches for their parent's hand, the quiet pause between contractions, or the look shared between two people who have loved each other for years. Those fleeting moments often become the photographs people treasure most.
When I'm not behind the camera, life is usually pretty simple. I'm a mom to three incredible kids, you'll almost always find me with a coffee in hand, and there's a good chance I'm listening to a podcast while editing your gallery. My favourite place to slow down is by the river, and if there's an animal nearby, I'll almost certainly stop to say hello. I love towering trees, genuine conversations, and the quiet beauty found in everyday life.
At the end of the day, I don't just want to give you beautiful photographs. I want to give you a way to return to this season of your life years from now—to remember the people who were there, the emotions you felt, and all of the little moments that might have otherwise slipped away. It's a privilege I'll never take for granted.
