Birth is one of the most powerful and transformative days of your life. It is a day filled with anticipation, strength, vulnerability, and overwhelming love. While so much of the experience can feel like a blur in the moment, birth photography allows you to revisit the story of how your baby came into your arms.
From the waves of labour to the first moments of meeting your baby, my goal is to preserve not only the milestones, but also the quiet moments you may not even realize are happening—the reassuring hand squeezes, gentle encouragement, tears, laughter, the look on your partner's face as they meet your baby for the first time, and the incredible strength it takes to bring your baby earthside.
While you're focused on giving birth and welcoming your little one, you simply can't see everything happening around you. A birth photographer preserves the moments you'll miss, allowing your partner to stay fully present instead of worrying about taking photos, while documenting the emotions, connections, and details that deserve to be remembered. Long after the day has passed, these images become a way to relive your birth story and share it with your child as they grow.

If birth photography isn't part of your journey, a Fresh 48 session is a beautiful way to preserve those first precious days with your baby. Held within the first two days after birth, it captures the quiet moments, tiny details, and joy as you begin life together. There's no pressure to pose or perform—just gentle, natural storytelling that documents your baby's earliest days exactly as they are.
Ashley was the photographer for 2 of my pregnancies, as well as the proceeding home births. She was also one of the first people I ever hired to take professional photos of/for me, and her kind and professional demeanor made me feel so comfortable that any insecurities I felt about being photographed quickly disappeared. She was quick to edit and deliver the photos, which beyond exceeded anything I could have imagined. They are now some of my most prized possessions. Ashley made me feel beautiful and powerful.
